WPC: Rounded – Flying Saucer

Another entry for this week’s challenge from the Daily Post. This is a real flying saucer developed first in Canada then later in the U.S. It is identified as an Avrocar (VZ-9AV.) Development occurred in the 1950s but the concept failed to remain stable at more than three (3) feet off the ground thus ending the entire project. We saw this at the U.S. Air Force Museum in Dayton.
