“When I want to be reminded of stupidity, especially my own, I turn on the TV.”
― Dejan Stojanovic
The kitchen window has become our TV. We watch all the birds coming and going around the crab apple tree with the bird feeder hanging off one of its branches. That is so much better when compared to the entertainment (so-called) that travels across the airwaves. And there are no commercial breaks. Ever.
you are completely right about tv programs. Also in Germany the program is so stupid that I refuse to watch it. Politicians like to dull the minds of the people. But intelligent persons should remark it and do things like you do. Better to watch birds, flowers, etc. than to watch stupid programs.

Yes, for every interesting and informative programme there must be 3 or 4 hours of rubbish. It’s almost as if it’s a law. We had a Jay on our feeder recently and a visit from a Green Woodpecker, two of our most colourful birds, although they don’t really compare with a Cardinal!

I can’t get a good picture of a Jay – they are too skittish.
