We came across this tree by the old lock at Metamora, Indiana. The site is at a small portion of the old Whitewater Canal system that, at its peak, stretched over seventy miles. I have seen some trees with low running limbs, but never one like this tree. At some point, someone shoved two wooden blocks beneath the limb for support before it turns up into the air again.
