Weekly Photo Challenge: Morning – Waterfall

The Friendship Gardens’ waterfall is a popular photo spot in our town. This waterfall is the back-drop for innumerable prom pictures, senior pictures, wedding pictures and all kinds of other portraits too. People pose in front of the water, on the ledge above the waterfall and on the rocks on either side of the water.

This is a small artificial waterfall surrounded by trees and a cobblestone walk path. Early in the morning one can sit on the benches in front of the falls and enjoy the noise of the water over the rocks and into the water. The nearest natural waterfall is thirty miles away.

    1. The rock pilings are real. There is a small fiberglass tub at the top and a larger one at the bottom. A pump pushes water to the top one for overflowing onto the rocks. It is nestled on all sides with trees so it looks remote.
