We adopted five of our daughters from the People’s Republic of China beginning in June 2000 up to January 2007. At the end of each trip, the families in the travel group gather at the landing on the stairs in the White Swan Hotel for a picture. For ten or so days, we have traveled half-way around the world and stayed in two cities in China. We have dealt with customs officials, the passport office, the adoption officials, visits to the orphanages, the doctor’s office and the U.S. Consulate. And during all of this, we and our new daughters adjusted to each other. There were side trips to tourist spots and walks into town visiting a mom & pop laundry or a little grocery store. Not sure where Charlotte hid during this group shot from July 2005, but Cara, Avery and I joined the rest as we sat on the edge of the wall while our guide snapped shots from everyone’s camera including her own! It was the end of the trip and we were all very, very tired. However, it did nothing to inhibit the jubilation we all felt as it came time to go home!

What an interesting interpretation of the challenge; makes me want to see more of your work as a photographer.
I’ll be following you from now on. Have an amazing day! 🙂

That’s a great picture. You should get it framed and put on the wall in the hall…if you haven’t already!
