“Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than those you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from safe harbor. Catch the wind in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
— Mark Twain
I watched this ship heading out into the Gulf of Mexico on a windy, rainy, foggy afternoon. A low-pressure weather system camped in northern Mexico produced several days of high winds and thunderstorms. Yet the ships still sailed.
At first glance, I thought those rocks looked like a submarine heading out to sea!

I can see how one might have thought that!

Love this quote. And yes, ships will sail come rain or shine.

One of my favourite songs is “Seascape” by Amazing Blondel…
“Wistfully watching I wonder
As ships go out to sea
At mariners yonder
And how their lives must be.
With oceans to wander coves of tranquillity
Oh none could be fonder
Of his sailor’s life than he.”

I’ve only known a few sailors but they are a special breed all their own!
