This stilt sandpiper entertained me as he dodged the water spray off the rocks while he walked along the water-front trail. These captures came from Sylvan Beach in LaPorte, Texas.

What a superb bird, and what great shots of it! I went to see a stray Stilt Sandpiper in Yorkshire nearly thirty years ago, and he was attracting quite a crowd. It remains a very rare straggler to the UK.
