This small ‘square’ stands in the middle of a perimeter of buildings and is not visible from the streets that surround it. One could only reach it by walking through a tunnel. We had an interesting day visiting the shops, the pagoda and a temple that were all inside this small area!
There are more ‘squares’ to see at the Travel Theme Challenge: Square!
Lovely captures of the square.

Thank you! It was like it came out of nowhere when we passed out of the tunnel. We had a fun day visiting the shops!

Terrific pictures — reminds me of squares in Nepal.

I have seen google maps images of these squares in several places – they appear to be common in southeastern Asia.

It looks all very compact. Lovely pictures.

It was compact, but there were three levels on the perimeter and the square was really a rectangle. We spent a lot of time there.

Some beautiful pictures, especially the one with all the bright red objects.

Red is the color of life and luck. You see it a lot in art and decoration there.
