The Indiana State Capital stands at the end of Market Street dividing the image vertically. Using black and white removes the color along the sidewalk that might distract away from the center line of the image.
Looking up at the Indiana World War Memorial one can easily see the symmetric design.
This symmetric lines of this pedestrian bridge telescopes the eye toward the roundabout’s marker at the opposite end.
