“If winter comes, can spring be far behind?”
― Percy Bysshe Shelley
We saw a bit of the snow last week and that will be enough for me this season – though the odds of that are against me. However, I would much rather see the white daffodils. These were in our flower bed at the side of the house very early this last Spring.
You could have taken them on my backyard!! lovely!

Thank you! We only had a few of the all-white version this year.

I think Shelley may be a bit of an optimist here! Plenty of bad weather to come in north western Europe before the umbrellas are put away (until summer, but that’s a different story)

It is always good to be optimistic as winter begins to rear its head!

Are white daffodils rare? I never see them around here.

I am not sure just how rare they are. We have these and some others that have white petals but yellow horns.

These are known as daffodils around here and as narcissus in other parts of the country. You can see some irises at this post: http://atrivialmindatwork.com/2015/01/29/consider-iris/
