Honey Bees Are Back

“Handle a book as a bee does a flower, extract its sweetness but do not damage it.”

After seeing no more than a dozen all last year, our first honey bees visited the yellow rose bush this afternoon. That was a great sight to see! This particular bee hung around the roses where the wind had blown off all but one petal. As true as the quote by Mr. Muir, the bee can also extract the sweetness from the damaged flower. Not a bad lesson for life!
