Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: Pick a Topic from My Photo

This was an interesting challenge and I tried to give it a lot of thought. I came up with these pictures: a cold-water car-wash in Fuzhou, Fujian Province, China. I snapped these pictures in June 2000 using my Pentax K-1000.

This was our first trip to China. We adopted Erin on this trip. We walked around town during our off-times and saw sites like this car-wash. We visited grocery stores and shops. People smiled at us; some who could speak a lot of English and some who just knew a smattering would say ‘hello’ as we passed by. The school-aged children learning English in school would try out their language skills on us. It was a great experience. People are people anywhere you go!

The ‘Pick a Topic from My Photo’ categories: water, reflection, industry (maybe that one is a stretch), red, green, gray (and a few more colors), lines, shapes, windows – I think I just about got them all here!

June is a part of monsoon season in Fuzhou, and it was 105°F and 95% humidity on this particular day. I would have gladly walked through the car-wash myself just to cool off.

    1. Agreed. It is sad that so many people make their judgements of others based on what politicians and TV tells them. Once you remove that nonsense, life gets so much simpler.
